Live: Huge M5 delays after caravan crashes and overturns

There were long delays on the M5 in Gloucestershire[1] after a crash near Stroud[2]. National Highways said a caravan overturned and there were miles of congestion in the area with reported delays of 50 minutes[3]. National Highways said: "Lanes 1 & 2 (of 3) are closed on the #M5[4] northbound between J14 ( #Falfield[5] ) & J13 ( #Stroud[6] ) due to a collision involving an overturned caravan.

"Emergency services & Traffic Officers en route. Four miles of congestion on approach causing 50 min delays above normal travel time." Traffic monitor Inrix reports: "Long delays and two lanes closed due to accident on M5 northbound from J14 B4509 (Thornbury / Falfield) to J13 A419 (Stroud)."

Traffic cleared by 3.45pm
