Live M25 traffic updates as lorry and car accident partially blocks road near Wisley and A3 closure

Drivers are facing long delays on the M25[1] in Surrey[2] following an accident which is partially blocking the road. The crash has happened on the anticlockwise carriageway at Junction 10 for the A3 (Wisley[3] Interchange). National Highways said the collision was between a lorry and a car.

The congestion[4] has been made worse by the delays caused by the A3 closure. Traffic monitoring site Inrix said at 10.18am: "M25, Surrey, anticlockwise. M25 anticlockwise partially blocked, long delays due to accident at J10 A3 (Wisley Interchange).

Not helped by the A3 closure delays." National Highways is currently saying there are delays of 50 minutes against traffic. It is not yet known how many vehicles have been involved or if any injuries have been reported. SurreyLive[5] has contacted the emergency services for further details.

The A3 in Wisley is closed in both directions, and there is queueing traffic due to the weekend roadworks in place until the early hours of Monday morning, from M25 J10 (Wisley Interchange, Wisley) to A245 Portsmouth Road (Painshill, Cobham). There is congestion on both sides of the A3 and the M25 on approach to the junction. This is a live event.
