Lorry rams into bridge on M8 as Renfrew road closed for the ‘foreseeable future’

Police are appealing for witnesses after a lorry rammed into a bridge on the M8 near Paisley. The incident happened at around 2.50pm on Wednesday, June 4, with police confirming a "lorry with a heavy load collided with the bridge over the motorway". The crash caused major M8 delays before the westbound carriageway re-opened at around 7pm.

Roadworkers were also on scene cleaning up debris.
