M62 LIVE as crash sees van hit central reservation as three-hour traffic delays reported

Severe delays continue on the M62 following a crash this afternoon (Tuesday, June 24). A van appears to have crashed into the central reservation and ended up on top of another car on the westbound carriageway near J22 for Rishworth Moor. Police and paramedics are currently on the scene along with Highways officers - with all traffic held at first following the crash.

No one is reported to have been injured in the incident. One lane of the eastbound carriageway has also been closed. A National Highways spokesperson said: "A truck has collided with the central reservation barrier on the M62 at J22 Saddleworth 2 lanes are closed westbound and 1 lane eastbound Delays of 3 hours westbound and 30 minutes eastbound."
