Man, 34, dies following collision involving HGV near Boston
A 34-year-old man has died following a collision near Boston[1]. On Thursday, June 12, the emergency services were called to reports of a collision[2] involving a black BMW and a HGV at around 9.53pm. The incident took place on the A1121 Boardsides, Wyberton Fen,[3] near Boston.
The road was closed and reopened the following day. The driver of the BMW was taken to hospital[4] but died two days later on Saturday, June 14. An update was shared by Lincolnshire Police[5] on Wednesday, June 18.
It states: "We are saddened to confirm that a 34-year-old man has died following a collision on the A1121 Boardsides, Wyberton Fen, near to Boston on the evening of Thursday 12 June 2025. At 9.53pm, we received reports of a collision involving a black BMW and a HGV. "The road was closed as a result and reopened the next day.
The driver of the BMW was taken to hospital where he sadly passed away 2 days later (14 June).
Our thoughts are with his family at this deeply distressing time and specialist officers are supporting them."
