Man ‘caught speeding multiple times on same motorway’
Amrit Singh is accused of multiple speeding offences on the M5 after allegedly falling foul of the temporary 50mph speed cameras, including on consecutive days. Singh of Blackbird Leys, Droitwich, who was said to have been behind the wheel of a LEVC (a purpose-built hackney carriage), is accused of exceeding a temporary 50mph speed on the M5 southbound between junctions 4a and 6 on June 13 last year. He faces further, similar charges for June 6 last year, June 7 last year and June 9 last year, also on the same stretch of the M5.
The case was heard and adjourned at Worcester Magistrates Court on June 11.
The next hearing is due to take place at the same court on November 12 this year for sentence.
The defendant has been told to attend to consider if there are mitigating circumstances (including exceptional hardship) for not ordering disqualification.
