Motorists fined more than £100 for driving at 61mph on motorway
Michael Jacques, of Primrose Hill, Wallingford, was caught exceeding a variable speed limit on the M27 in Hampshire by an automatic camera device on November 27, 2023. The 57-year-old was driving a Volkswagen travelling westbound between junctions eight and seven of the M27, near Hedge End, when he was caught. This was a year-and-a-half on from the offence, and he entered a guilty plea.
He was fined GBP100 and handed three penalty points on his licence.
He was also ordered to pay costs of GBP130 and a surcharge of GBP40.
