Peterborough lorry crash live: Long delays after lorry crash sees damage to road

There are long delays along a major Cambridgeshire parkway after a lorry crash on Tuesday (June 3). The A1139 Frank Perkins parkway in Peterborough is partially blocked this morning (Wednesday, June 4) for emergency repairs. This is after a lorry crashed into the central reservation yesterday afternoon at around 4pm.

Cambridgeshire Police were called to the incident. A police spokesperson said: "We were called at 4.08pm yesterday (3 June) with reports a HGV had collided with the central reservation on the Frank Perkins Parkway (A1139) in Peterborough. The collision happened close to the Stanground junction with the A605.

"No injuries were reported and two lanes were closed while the incident was dealt with." Inrix, a traffic monitoring site said there is traffic queuing along the road while the repairs take place. AA Traffic News reports delays of around 10 minutes.
