Police appeal for witnesses to A458 crash that injured six
Police in Shropshire[1] are appealing for witnesses following a collision between two cars on the A458 Wollaston[2] at midnight on Wednesday, June 18. The crash, between an orange Peugeot 207 and a white Kia Sportage, left six people with injuries as they were taken to hospital for treatment. Officers want to speak to the driver of a HGV that was travelling towards Welshpool[3] at the time, which was not involved in the crash but they believe was in the area at the time of the incident.
In their appeal, police said: "The collision happened over night (Wednesday 18 June) on the A458 near Wollaston at around 12.09am. "Six people suffered injuries and were taken to hospital for further treatment. "Officers are particularly keen to speak to the driver of a HGV that was travelling towards Welshpool, as they believe it was in the area at the time of the collision.
"It is not believed the HGV was involved in the collision but may be a key witness.
"Officers are also keen to speak to anyone who may have been in the area around the time of the collision who may have dashcam footage."
Anyone who may have relevant information is invited to get in touch with West Mercia Police's Serious Collision Investigation Unit (SCIU).
