A 37-year-old woman suffered life threatening injuries. Three other people, a six-year-old girl, a man in his 30s and a woman in her 50s, were seriously injured.

Five people were believed to have been taken to hospital following the incident, which closed the A35 southbound from Bank and northbound from Lyndhurst Road.
