Serious injuries suffered after suspected drink and drug driving incident near Tenby

Officers are appealing for information to help with their investigation into the crash which happened on Thursday evening

A person is in hospital with serious injuries after a collision which left a Pembrokeshire[1] road closed for 10 hours. Dyfed-Powys Police have launched an investigation into the crash and one man has been arrested.

The two-vehicle collision occurred on the A4139, between Tenby and Lydstep at around 5.15pm on Thursday (June 20). It involved a black Renault Captur and a white Ford Transit van.

A 29-year-old man, was arrested on suspicion of drink and drug driving, and causing serious injury by dangerous driving, Dyfed-Powys Police confirmed.

He remains in police custody.

The road was closed for collision investigation work and was reopened just after 3am on June 20.

Officers are now appealing for anyone with information, particularly motorists who were in the area at the time who may have dash cam footage, that could help them with their investigation to please get in touch.
