Severn Trent worker cheats death in M6 hit-and-run crash
Police are hunting a hit-and-run M6 lorry driver. The trucker was involved in a collision with a car on the southbound M6. But the lorry did not remain at the scene.
The car driver - who works for Severn Trent Water - needed hospital treatment following the crash. The collision happened between junction 13 for Stafford South and junction 14 for Stafford North at 10.45am on Monday, June 16. A Staffordshire Police[1] spokesman said: "We were called to reports of a collision between junctions 14 and 13 of the M6 southbound.
Two vehicles were involved. One of the vehicles left the scene following the collision. No injuries were reported.
The other vehicle was later recovered from the scene. Inquiries are continuing." Police are appealing for witnesses.
They should call the police on 101, quoting incident number 236 of 16 June, or call Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555111.
