Six-vehicle pile-up on busy Stoke-on-Trent road leaves man hospitalised

A six-vehicle pile-up on a busy Stoke-on-Trent road left a man in hospital this morning. The large-scale incident happened at around 9.11am on the A50 westbound near the bet365 Stadium.

Staffordshire Police were soon called to the scene to assess the situation. No arrests were made, but one motorist was deemed to require medical treatment.

A force spokesperson told StokeonTrentLive: "We were called at 9.11am this morning (Thursday 26 June) to reports of a six-vehicle collision on the A50 westbound near to the Bet365 Stadium.

"The collision involved a black Peugeot 207, a silver Honda Jazz, a white Mini, a black VW Golf, a white Ford Connect van and a white Mercedes Sprinter van.

A man was taken to hospital."
