Solihull teen admits taking pick-up truck from hotel

A teenager has been convicted for his part in stealing a pick-up truck in Solihull[1].
The 17-year-old, who can't be named for legal reasons due to his age, pleaded guilty after he was arrested by officers last week.
The teenager was arrested within hours of the theft, which saw a pick-up truck stolen from a hotel on June 17.
The stolen vehicle was tracked to London and was recovered by officers from the Metropolitan Police.

Appearing at Birmingham[4] Magistrates' Court, the boy pleaded guilty and is due to be sentenced next month.

Article continues belowSpeaking after the case, Pc Emily Fowler said: "This was an excellent response to a crime report, with the vehicle tracked and suspect arrested within a couple of hours of the theft taking place.
"We were able to reunite the vehicle with its owner and ensure the person responsible for the theft faced justice."
We are keeping up the pressure on car thieves across the West Midlands, with regular patrols and operations targeting hotspot areas.
