Stansted Airport M11 collision: three-vehicle crash confirmed
Officers were called to the M11 at just after 2.30pm today due to reports of a crash involving an HGV and two vehicles. The northbound carriageway of the M11 was subsequently closed between junctions 7a and 8. The southbound carriageway was also closed between junction 8 and junction 7.
An appeal has been launched by the force as it continues to investigate the Incident. An Essex Police spokesman said: "The M11 is closed while roads policing officers work at the scene of a serious collision. "We are appealing to anyone who witnessed the collision or anyone with dashcam footage to get in touch.

The force is working to release traffic affected by the incident "as quickly as possible".
Police say the section of the motorway will remain closed for a "number of hours" and it is advised to avoid the area.
