Woman hospitalised after M25 collision near Potters Bar
The collision reportedly took place at around 10.55am today (Friday, June 20), between junction 23, South Mimms and junction 24, Potters Bar. The incident involved a lorry and a car, and the woman hospitalised is believed to be the driver of the car. A spokesperson from Herts police said: "Police were called to reports of a road traffic collision on the M25 between junction 23 and junction 24 at around 10.55am today (Friday, June 20).
"The collision involved two vehicles, a white Scania lorry and a car (make or model doesn't appear on log). "We attended the scene alongside colleagues from the East of England Ambulance Service (ref 1524), and Herts Fire and Rescue. "A woman in her 30s, the driver of the car, has been taken to hospital with suspected injuries."
Two out of four lanes were initially closed following the collision, and all emergency services attended the scene. A spokesperson from Hertfordshire Fire and Rescue said: "Herts Fire and Rescue were called to the scene at 11.05am to reports of a collision between Junction 23 South Mimms and Junction 24 Potters Bar. "One person was given medical care by the fire services, and two people were assessed by the ambulance.
"The fire service left the scene at 11.50am".
