Cheshire Police releases details of M56 crash causing delays

Two of three lanes on the eastbound stretch of the motorway were closed for around two hours after a crash between a car and a van. A spokesman for Cheshire Police confirmed that there were no injuries and arrests made. They said: "At 3.11pm on Thursday, July 10, police were called to a collision on the M56 between junctions 14 and 15.

"The collision involved a car and a van.

"There were no reports of any injuries and the scene was cleared by 5.17pm."
