Delays on M6 after driver seriously hurt in crash
Part of the northbound carriageway of the M6 has been closed after a crash left a driver seriously injured.
It is due to a collision between a van and a stationary skip wagon near Charnock Richard services, Lancashire Police said.
The motorway is closed northbound between junctions 27 for Standish and 28 for Leyland, with delays of about an hour as traffic from a four-mile tailback is being led past the scene.
Lancashire Police, Lancashire Fire & Rescue, North West Ambulance Service and National Highways Traffic Officers are attending the scene.
