Dorset: Driver in 20s dies at scene of BMW crash on A357
Dorset Police received a report at 9.27am on Tuesday, July 22 of a single-vehicle crash involving a grey BMW on the A357. The driver of the BMW, a man aged in his 20s, was pronounced dead at the scene. His family has been informed.
Road closures remain in place at the scene on Cook's Lane near Spire Hill Farm in the Stalbridge area to allow emergency services to safely deal with the incident and carry out an examination of the scene. Officers are appealing for witnesses or anyone with dashcam footage to come forward. Police sergeant Dave Cotterill, of the Roads Policing Team, said: "Our thoughts are very much with the family and friends of the man who sadly died in this collision.
"I am appealing for any witnesses who have not already spoken to police to please come forward. A man in his 20s has died (Image: Newsquest) "Also, I am keen to speak to any motorists who captured footage of the incident, or the moments leading up to it, on a dashcam. "Finally, I would like to thank the public for their patience and understanding while the road closures are in place."
