Driver arrested after serious M6 crash sparks closure and huge delays
A man has been arrested on suspicion of driving while unfit through drink or drugs following an earlier crash on the M6 in Lancashire.
The serious collision between a van, lorry and a car happened on the northbound carriageway between J31 and J31A near Preston[1]. All traffic was held on the motorway from shortly after 6.30am today (July 30).
Motorists were warned to avoid the area as emergency services responded. The crash caused delays of 45 minutes and seven miles of congestion.
