Driver in critical condition after serious crash on A47 at East Winch
Police are appealing for witnesses following a serious crash on the A47 in East Winch yesterday afternoon. The collision happened at 1.50pm on Wednesday, involving a white Vauxhall Movano van and orange DAF truck.[1] The road was closed in both directions while emergency services attended the scene.
The van driver, a man aged in his 30s, was taken to Lynn's Queen Elizabeth Hospital by ambulance and has been transferred to Addenbrooke's Hospital in Cambridge with serious injuries.
He is still in critical condition. The A47 reopened at 4.30am, more than 12 hours after the crash. Officers would like to speak to anyone who may have witnessed the collision.
