"A woman suffered an injury to her leg and a man suffered a chest injury.

"The A30 has been closed from the Salisbury Road junction (B3084) to Broughton Down Farm to allow the emergency services to deal with the incident." The statement continued: "Please find an alternative route if possible and thanks for your patience." The road is notorious locally, with people greeting the news on community Facebook groups with anger and little surprise.

One said on the Stockbridge Notice Board: "Seems a daily occurrence." Another user said: "There are lots of junctions like this in Hampshire [...] yet the crash statistics on this junction in particular are insane. It's almost daily.

Hampshire County Council has been approached for comment.
