M11 crash live updates as motorway blocked near Cambridge

A major motorway in Cambridgeshire has reopened. The M11 northbound was partially blocked just before 10am today (Friday, July 11). Initially traffic monitoring site Inrix reported the incident as a crash between junction 11 of the A10 Cambridge Road at Cambridge South/Harston and junction 12 A603 Barton Road at Cambridge.

Cambridgeshire Police has confirmed it was due to a broken down lorry. The road has since reopened. Inrix says: "Road cleared and traffic easing, accident cleared on M11 Northbound from J11 A10 Cambridge Road (Cambridge South / Harston) to J12 A603 Barton Road (Cambridge)."
