Man charged after Birmingham stabbing in attempted murder probe

A man has been charged after a stabbing in Birmingham.
The victim, in his 20s, was knifed on Gibson Road in Handsworth on Saturday, July 26.
He remained in hospital in a stable condition.
Mohamed Mahamad, 36, from Birmingham[5], is charged with attempted murder, attempted robbery and possession of a knife.
He appeared at the city's magistrates court today, Tuesday, July 29.
Police continue to appeal for information.
Police said in a statement today: "We've charged a man after a stabbing in Handsworth at the weekend.
"Mohamed Mahamad, aged 36, from Birmingham[6], appeared before the city's magistrates court today (29 July) charged with attempted murder, as well as attempted robbery and possession of a knife.

"The man in his 20s, who was stabbed on Gibson Road in the early hours of Saturday, remains in hospital in a serious but stable condition.
"Our investigation is continuing and anyone with information should contact us via 101 quoting log 650 of 26 July."
