Man charged in connection to crash on A35 in Morcombelake

As previously reported, a van struck a house next to Felicity's Farm Shop, opposite Star Lane, on the A35 last Saturday afternoon. The property suffered significant damage to the front wall. Emergency services were called to the scene at around noon and a man in his 40s was taken to hospital for treatment to minor injuries.

He was later arrested on suspicion of driving offences. Police have now said Daniel Wojtasiak, aged 42, of Weston-super-Mare, is due to appear at Weymouth Magistrates' Court on August 1 after being charged with driving whilst disqualified and for driving while over the legal alcohol limit. Coral Jackson, who lives nearby, saw the emergency services arrive in the afternoon. She said: "I heard all the sirens and I saw the aftermath. I think I would want to move if I lived there.
