Motorcyclist, 45, dies in collision with white transit van near Horley
A mtorcyclist has died in a collision with white transit van near Horley. The 45-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene on Wednesday (July 9). The crash happened on Balcombe Road, near Horley[1].
The man, from Cobham[2], and the van were both were travelling northbound when the collision took place between Fernhill Road and the M23 underpass. Despite emergency medical attention the motorcyclist died at the scene. The driver of the white transit van, a 26-year-old man from Crawley, has been arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving.
Detective Sergeant Rob Baldwin from the Serious Collision Investigation Unit said: "We are appealing witnesses, dashcam footage and anyone with CCTV footage that would have captured the vehicles driving just before or at the time of the collision."
