Motorcyclist sustained ‘serious injuries’ in A12 crash
Traffic control had reported a two-vehicle crash which partially blocked the A12 southbound carriageway between junction 16 Galleywood and Junction 15 A414, yesterday morning[1]. It was first reported at 8.03am and motorists experienced some delays in the area, there was traffic congestion back to Junction 17 A130. Both Essex Police and the East of England Ambulance Service attended the scene, more details have been shared.
An Essex Police spokesperson said: "We were called to a collision involving a motorcycle and a lorry between Junction 16 and Junction 15, at around 7.20am on Thursday July 10. "The motorcycle rider suffered serious injuries, which are not believed to be life-threatening, and is receiving hospital treatment. "The road was cleared later that morning."
A spokesperson for the East of England Ambulance Service said: "One ambulance was sent to the Southbound A12 near Ingatestone following reports of a motorcyclist injured in a road traffic collision.
"One man was transported to Broomfield Hospital for further assessment and care."
