Motorcyclist taken to hospital following crash with lorry on Cambs border

A motorcyclist has been taken to hospital following a crash with a lorry on the Cambridgeshire [1] border. The police were called to the A142 Fordham Road, near Windmill Hill, after a serious collision was reported. The road has been blocked in both directions to allow emergency services to attend to the scene.

An East of England Ambulance Service crew and an air ambulance were called to the scene. The motorcyclist has been taken to Addenbrooke's Hospital for treatment after sustaining a serious injury. Drivers are being told to leave extra time for their journeys or to avoid the area if possible.
