Motorists sentenced for Wrexham and Flintshire offences

Many defendants were dealt with for motoring offences by Mold Magistrates Court on Monday. They include... John Oneil, aged 55 and of Olney Street, Liverpool, was sentenced for exceeding a 20mph speed limit on the A548 at Oakenholt on August 2 last year.

The court fined him GBP80 and imposed 5 penalty points. The defendant must also pay GBP130 costs and a GBP30 victim surcharge. Liam Fallows, aged 25 and of Harebell Close, Huntington, Chester, was sentenced for exceeding a 50mph speed limit on the A5026 at Holywell on August 12 last year.

The court imposed three penalty points and ordered Fallows to pay a GBP100 fine, as well as a GBP40 victim surcharge. [1] Godwin Pichai, aged 43 and of Willow Drive, Stockton Heath, Warrington, was sentenced for exceeding a 20mph speed limit on the A5104 at Pontybodkin on August 11 last year. He received five penalty points and must pay a fine of GBP127, GBP130 costs and a GBP51 victim surcharge.

Cedric Devonport, aged 67 and of Hadley Close, Netherton, was sentenced for exceeding a 50mph speed limit on the A483 at Wrexham on July 22 last year.

The court imposed a six month driving ban and ordered the defendant to pay a GBP122 fine, as well as GBP130 costs and a GBP49 victim surcharge.
