Two in hospital after major crash shuts Welsh road for hours
A driver has been arrested on suspicion of driving while under the influence of drugs

Two people are in hospital and one man has been arrested after a serious crash on the A40 near Llandeilo[1] on Tuesday Morning. Police worked alongside the Welsh Ambulance Service for nearly three hours as the collision shut the busy carriageway in both directions from Manordeilo Service Station.
Police said a 29-year-old remains in custody at this time after being arrested on suspicion of driving while under the influence of drugs. Officers investigating the crash are now asking any witnesses to come forward.
A spokesperson for Dyfed-Powys Police said: "Police attended a two vehicle collision on the A40 at Manordeilo.
"A white Lexon van and a grey Volkswagon were involved in a collision at about 8.15am this morning, Tuesday, July 22.
"Two people were taken to hospital by ambulance.
"A 29-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of driving while under the influence of drugs and currently remains in police custody.
"The road was closed, with diversions in place, and reopened at 10.35am.
