A40 Llandewi Velfrey crash: Cyclist airlifted to hospital

Dyfed-Powys Police said officers were called at around 8.10am to reports of a collision involving a van and a cyclist. The road remains closed for collision investigation work and is expected to stay shut for some time. Traffic Wales South has advised drivers to continue using the A477 and A478 as alternative routes.

A 33-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of causing serious injury by dangerous driving and driving an unfit vehicle. He is currently in police custody. Police are appealing for witnesses, including anyone with dash-cam footage, to come forward.
