Arrests after crash on A66 near Mainsgill Farm Shop
Emergency services were called to the westbound side of the A-road, at the junction with the B6274, after a Ford Transit van crashed with a Peugeot 607. Officers found the two men on Hartforth Lane within ten minutes. Both were arrested on suspicion of driving without a licence, no insurance, driving without due care and attention, failing to stop at the scene of a collision, and for being wanted. One of the men was also found with a Stanley knife and was arrested on suspicion of possession of a bladed article.
