Cyclist in life-threatening condition after crash
One man was arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving after the cyclist was airlifted to hospital

A cyclist was airlifted to hospital with life-threatening injuries following a crash. The serious collision, involving a van and a cyclist, happened on the A40 near Llanddewi Velfrey in Pembrokeshire[1] at around 8.10am on Friday morning, August 22.
A 33-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of causing serious injury by dangerous driving and driving an unfit vehicle in connection with the crash. He is in police custody.
Dyfed-Powys Police is appealing for witnesses to come forward to assist with their investigation.

A spokesperson for the force said it is "expected to remain closed for some time".
Traffic Wales is advising drivers to use the A477 and A478 as an alternative.
