Devoted Spennymoor mum who ‘would do anything for son’ was ‘loved by everyone’.

A devoted Spennymoor mum who worked two jobs to 'give her little boy the best life' has been remembered days after she tragically died in a crash.

Chloe Lightfoot, 33, died after a crash on A66 near Barnard Castle on Tuesday (August 26,), when her Citroen Berlingo van collided with a HGV just before 8am.

Her heartbroken best friend Simone Goodchild, who has now set up a fundraiser to support her son Jax, seven, as he grows up without his mum,[1] said Chloe was 'loved by everyone'. Advertisement Advertisement

"Chloe was my best friend, she lit up every room she walked in, not just because of how beautiful she was but because her personality was so bubbly and witty.

"She brought energy into every room, and she was just very funny. Everyone who met her instantly loved her.

She is going to be missed very much.

"She was the person I would go to if I had a hard time, and she always made it better. so during this hard time I'd like to do as much as possible for her by helping her son." Advertisement Advertisement

Funeral costs are covered so the fundraising is solely to help Jax as he grows up without the mother who adored him.
