Driver in hospital after three-vehicle crash on Knutsford Road

The emergency services were on the A50 Knutsford Road at around midday on Sunday, August 10. A Cheshire Police spokesperson said a van driver was taken to hospital with serious injuries following a three-vehicle crash between a Skoda car, a Citroen van and an HGV. A Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said they removed the door and rescued the driver after attending from Congleton Fire Station and Knutsford Fire Station.

The Skoda driver and the HGV driver were treated as a precaution by North West Ambulance Service. A police spokesperson said: "On Sunday, August 10, police were called to reports of a collision on the A50 Knutsford Road in Cranage. The collision involved three vehicles, a Skoda, a Citroen and an HGV.

"The driver of the van suffered serious injuries and was taken to hospital."
