Driver receiving medical treatment after crash near Menwith Hill

A driver was taken to hospital following a collision near Menwith Hill this morning (August 13). North Yorkshire Police[1] this afternoon said the crash, which happened just before 9.30am, occurred on the A59 at the junction with the B6451 near Menwith Hill, just outside of Harrogate[2]. The force added two vehicles - a white Mercedes Vito van and a Ford KA - were involved.

The driver of the Ford was taken to hospital with minor injuries and is currently receiving medical treatment.

The passenger of the Mercedes van was checked at the scene, police said.
