Emergency services attend rush hour Winwick Road car and HGV crash

Cheshire Police has confirmed that it attended a road traffic collision on a busy road through Warrington at rush hour. The incident occurred on Winwick Road southbound, from the junctions with junction nine of the M62 and Cromwell Avenue, at around 9.15am. There were no reports of injury, with a car and a lorry involved.

A spokesman for Cheshire Police said: "At around 9.15am on Friday, August 15, police were called to reports of a collision on Winwick Road, Warrington.

"The collision involved a car and a lorry.

"There are not believed to be reports of any injuries, and the scene was clear by 9.55am."
