HGV leaves road and crashes in Bromsberrow

Emergency services were called to the scene on the M50 near Bromsberrow, where the large vehicle had come off the carriageway in the early hours of Thursday morning (August 21). Two people were released from the vehicle and were treated by paramedics for minor injuries. Five fire service crews were also called to the scene, as well as police.

A spokesperson for the fire service said: "Five Hereford & Worcester Fire and Rescue Service crews - one each from Upton upon Severn, Ledbury, Hereford, Ross-on-Wye and Evesham Fire Stations - were called at 3.08am on August 21 to a road traffic collision, involving a large vehicle in Bromsberrow, Ledbury. "An HGV had left the carriageway and two person had been released from the vehicle before the arrival of the fire service. The vehicle was made safe.

"Two casualties were in the care of the ambulance and police Highways also attended. "The incident was marked as pending closure at 7.01am." A spokesperson for West Mercia Police said: "Officers were called to a single vehicle collision on junction 2 (eastbound) on the M50 around 3.15am this morning.

"Two people in the vehicle suffered minor injuries.

No arrests were made."
