In the dock: Nine drivers banned or fined for speeding on A13 in south Essex

A VAUXHALL driver caught speeding on the A13 in Aveley has been banned from the roads. Terry Egiarhuoyi, 51, was driving a Corsa on the major road between Ship Lane Bridge and Purfleet Road Bridge when he was recorded exceeding the 50mph limit on January 9. He admitted this on Thursday and was banned from driving for six months at Colchester Magistrates' Court.

Egiarhuoyi, of Conor Road, Dagenham, was also fined GBP220.

A BMW driver caught speeding on the same stretch of road has been fined. Florin Lapadat, of St Leonards Close, Grays, was driving on the A12 in Aveley on November 28 when he was recorded going above the 50mph limit by an automatic speed camera. He admitted speeding on Thursday, July 31, and was fined GBP307 at Basildon Magistrates' Court.

The 49-year-old was also ordered to pay prosecution costs of GBP130 and a GBP123 surcharge. His driving record was endorsed with three points.

A SPEEDING driver caught between two major interchanges has been fined. Muhammad Islam, 54, was recorded going above the 50mph limit on the A13 between Stifford and Wennington on September 9 last year.

He admitted speeding and was fiend GBP53 at Southend Magistrates' Court on Friday. Islam, of St Pauls Way, Tower Hamlets, east London, was also handed three penalty points, must pay GBP90 costs and a GBP21 surcharge.

A DRIVER has been hit with a ban after speeding on the A13 in Grays. Olabisi Odeyle-Johnson, 59, was driving a Nissan Qashqai when he was recorded going above the 50mph limit on November 14.

He admitted speeding at Chelmsford Magistrates' Court last Tuesday where he was banned from driving for six months. Odeyle, of Peckham Park Road, Southwark, was also fined GBP140, ordered to pay GBP120 costs and a GBP56 surcharge.

A TOYOTA driver caught speeding on the A13 in Purfleet has been hit with a driving ban. Rolland Wilson, 51, was driving along the major road between Ship Lane Bridge and Purfleet Road Bridge when he was recorded going above the 50mph limit on December 28.

He admitted the offence at Colchester Magistrates' Court on Thursday where he was banned for six months. Wilson, of Dale View, Erith, in Kent, was also fined GBP215, ordered to pay GBP130 costs and an GBP86 surcharge.

A WOMAN caught speeding on the A13 in Purfleet has been slapped with a fine. Lisa Page, 56, was driving a Mini between Ship Lane Bridge and Purfleet Road Bridge when she was recorded going above the 50mph limit on December 13.

She admitted speeding at Colchester Magistrates' Court on Thursday where she was fined GBP40 and handed three penalty points. Page, of Carr Street, Tower Hamlets, was also ordered to pay GBP65 costs and a GBP16 surcharge.

A BMW driver caught speeding near Lakeside has been fined. Victor Ezeh, 50, was driving between Lakeside Interchange and Wennington Interchange on September 6 last year when he was recorded exceeding the 50mph limit.

He admitted the offece at Southend Magistrates' Court on Friday where he was fined GBP138. Ezeh, of Muir Street, Newham, was not banned from the roads as magistrates heard he would lose his job as a self-employed delivery driver if he was disqualified and supports a young family. He must pay prosecution costs of GBP90 and a GBP55 surcharge, magistrates ordered.

A SPEEDING driver caught going above the 50mph limit on the A13 has been fined.

Steven Darvill, 40, was driving a Hyundai on the major road in Purfleet when he was caught speeding by an automatic camera on December 6. He admitted the offence at Colchester Magistrates' Court on Thursday where he was fined GBP40. Darvill, of Larkshall Road, Waltham Forest, was also handed three penalty points.

The court heard he was not banned as this would prevent him transporting his partner to medical appointments and assisting his mother.

A BMW driver caught speeding on the A13 has been handed a large fine. Dylan Isaacs, 28, was recorded exceeding the 50mph limit on the road in Aveley on November 16, between Purfleet Road Bridge and Ship Lane Bridge. Isaacs, of Cliffe Woods, Rochester, Kent, admitted speeding and was fined GBP666 at Southend Magistrates' Court on Friday.

His driving record was endorsed with three penalty points.

The court heard he was not banned due to his care to his father who is blind.
