Live: Lorry crash halts M4 traffic near Almondsbury Interchange
A lorry crash caused serious problems on the M4 motorway[1] north of Bristol this evening, Friday, August 22. As of 7pm, all traffic had been halted[2] on the eastbound carriageway and the motorway was at a standstill near the busy Almondsbury Interchange. Traffic and travel monitoring service Inrix reported: "All traffic being temporarily held and stationary traffic due to accident, lorry involved on M4 Eastbound from J21 M48 to J20 M5 J15 (Almondsbury Interchange).
At around 7.45pm, the worst of the delays had cleared and traffic had returned to normal levels.
