M11 crash involving lorry and car sees road closed for over 10 hours
A motorway in Cambridgeshire [1]has reopened after being closed for nearly 11 hours. The M11 first closed at around 5am today[2] (Tuesday, August 26) due to a crash [3]between a lorry and car.
The road reopened just before 4pm and severe delays along the road have cleared. Traffic monitoring site Inrix says: "M11 in both directions re-opened, severe delays cleared, emergency barrier repairs complete and earlier accident from J11 A10 (Cambridge South / Harston) to J12 (Cambridge).

"Previous congestion to Local roads surrounding both junctions, especially Trumpington road into and out of Cambridge." Emergency services, including Cambridgeshire[4] Police and the East of England Ambulance Service, were called to the incident earlier today.
