M6 crash involving car and HGV leaves man injured

A motorway crash involving a car and a lorry has left a man in hospital with potentially serious injuries.

Emergency services rushed to the M6 between J1 and J2 before 4.30am on Friday (15 August).

Ambulance crews treated a man before he was raced to hospital.

The incident led to a road closure, with police advising drivers to avoid.

A spokesman for West Midlands Ambulance Service said: "We were called to reports of an RTC involving a car and a lorry on the M6[1] between junction 1 and 2 in Rugby[2] at 4.28am this morning and sent an ambulance to the scene.
