M6 live: Long delays after two lanes close following lorry crash
An accident is causing long delays on the M6 in Cheshire this afternoon (August 11) after a lorry collided with the central reservation. The incident, first reported to traffic tracker Inrix just after 2pm, closed two lanes of the northbound carriageway and one lane of the southbound. The southbound carriageway is now open as normal, but two lanes of the northbound remain closed, causing long delays in the area as rush hour approaches.
Inrix estimates travel time through the affected area to be around 35 minutes.
