‘Major incident’ sees four people rushed to hospital and lorry driver arrested
One person was airlifted to hospital with serious injuries following the collision on the A55 on Saturday afternoon

Four people have been taken to hospital, one with serious injuries, following a collision on a major Welsh road which saw a "major incident" declared on Saturday afternoon (August 9). North Wales Police[1] were called to the multi-vehicle collision on the A55[2] near Pentre Halkyn in Flintshire[3] shortly before 3.50pm.
Officers established that an artic lorry travelling in the eastbound carriageway had collided with two vehicles that were travelling in the westbound carriageway. The lorry driver, A 58-year-old man, was arrested on suspicion of causing serious injury by dangerous driving.
He has been released under investigation whilst inquiries continue.
One person was airlifted to hospital in Stoke by the Air Ambulance.
Two people were taken to Ysbyty Glan Clwyd by ambulance, with the other being taken to Stoke via ambulance.
The road remained closed in both directions for several hours whilst officers from the forensic collision investigation unit carried out their initial investigation.

A 40 mph speed restriction is now in place on the road whilst repairs are carried out on the central reservation.
North Wales Police are now appealing for any witnesses to come forward to assist with their investigation.
Sergeant Danielle Ashley of the Roads Crime Unit said: "We'd like to thank all those who have already provided us with their details following yesterday's collision, however we are urging anybody who may have witnessed the collision, or who may have dash cam footage just prior to the collision taking place, to contact us as soon as possible.
"I'd also like to thank motorists for their patience whilst we dealt with this incident.
One lane in each carriageway has since re-opened whilst repairs are carried out on the central reservation. Motorists are advised to follow Traffig Cymru Gogledd a Chanolbarth Traffic Wales North & Mid for updates."
