Man disqualified after breaking M5 speed limit five times in five weeks

George Marjanovic, age 35, appeared at Worcester Magistrates' Court on Friday (August 1) for exceeding a temporary 50mph speed restriction. Marjanovic, of Miller Close, Bromsgrove, was charged with breaking the speed limit while driving on the M5 northbound between junction 6 (Worcester/Pershore) and junction 4a (M42) on June 5, 2024, June 27, 2024, and July 8, 2024.

He was also charged with breaking the speed limit while driving on the M5 southbound between junction 4a and junction 6 on June 12, 2024, and July 9, 2024.

The 35-year-old admitted to all charges and received a total of 18 points on his licence, was disqualified from driving for two months and was ordered to pay a total of GBP1,611 in fines.

Marjanovic's disqualification was reduced due to mitigating circumstances, including needing a car to support family members.
