Man injured in rush hour crash between HGVs and van causing M6 delays

The road traffic collision resulted in delays of more than half an hour heading southbound between junctions 22 for Winwick and 21 for Croft. Cheshire Police has confirmed that emergency services were called to the motorway shortly after 7.30am following reports of a crash between two lorries and a van. A man was injured as a result of the collision, with recovery work underway.

A spokesman for Cheshire Police said: "At 7.34am on Wednesday, August 13, emergency services were called to reports of a collision on the M6 southbound between junctions 21 and 20. "Highway officers attended and found that the collision involved two HGVs and a van. "One person was injured as a result of the collision.

His injuries are not believed to be life-changing.

"Recovery work is currently underway at the scene."
