Motorist caught by automatic camera at 46mph on M4 slapped with ban

Lorraine Peel was driving near Welford, Newbury on the eastbound M4 when she was caught by an automatic camera in an area of roadworks.  She was recorded at 46mph at the time of the incident on August 14 last year.  High Wycombe Magistrates' Court heard how there was a temporary 40mph speed limit in place at the time. 

Peel, 60, of Cranes Park Avenue, Surbiton pleaded guilty to a single count of exceeding a temporary speed restriction. She was banned from driving for six months and received six points on her licence.  Peel was also ordered to pay a ?154 fine, ?120 court costs and a ?62 surcharge. 

This must be paid in full by August 12.
