Motorist caught by speed camera at 58mph on A-road is banned
Charles Phillips, of Frensham Close, Banbury, was travelling on the A40 at Wolvercote and Cutteslowe roundabout when he was clocked at 58mph. The 35-year-old was caught on the road by the speed camera on June 26 last year. READ MORE: Oxford: Image released of man who killed his dad in Bath[1]
His case was heard at High Wycombe Magistrates' Court on July 30 and he pleaded guilty. The court heard that he was exceeding the 30mph speed limit. He was ordered to pay costs of GBP120, a victim surcharge of GBP300 and a fine of GBP750.
This must be paid in full by August 27.
Phillips was also banned from the road for six months and handed six penalty points.
