‘No injuries’ after four-vehicle crash on M6 by Coventry
A four vehicle motorway crash that caused hours of traffic misery for drivers remarkably left nobody injured. The incident occurred on the M6[1] near Coventry[2] shortly before Friday lunchtime (22 August). According to traffic reporting site Inrix the incident involved three cars and a lorry.
It led to closures northbound which in turn had a detrimental impact on traffic on roads leading to and surrounding the M6 - areas such as Walsgrave and Ansty in particular were affected. A spokesman for Warwickshire[3] Police said: "Our West Midlands colleagues called us after receiving a report of a four-vehicle RTC on the Junction 2 of the M6 n/bound at 11:47am today. "Upon arrival officers ascertained there were no apparent injuries and no further assistance was required as our colleagues at the Highways Agency were assisting."
A spokesman for West Midlands Ambulance Service said: "We were called at 11.42am to a road traffic collision involving multiple vehicles between junctions 2 and 3 of the M6 in Walsgrave[5] on Sowe.
One ambulance attended the scene.
No patients required treatment from ambulance staff and were discharged at the scene."
