Person rescued from car after three-vehicle crash

A person has been rescued from a car after a three-vehicle collision near one of Suffolk's busiest roads.

Emergency services responded to reports of a collision between a van and two cars near Turnpike Farm, Clay Lane, in Hepworth at around 2.38pm on Saturday.

Suffolk Fire and Rescue Service removed a door of one of the vehicles to rescue a person and released them into the care of the ambulance service. Advertisement Advertisement

Two other people needed medical treatment after the crash near the A143 and were cared for by the ambulance service.

A spokesman for Suffolk Fire and Rescue Service confirmed two engines attended the incident, one from Brandon and one from Hadleigh.
